Clwydclippers Music Library.

Hi!

Welcome to our Music Library. We have listed each of the pieces of music that that are available during the Learn To Sing course.

If you select the song you wish to learn from the list on the left, you will see a number of icons on the right. Select the Play and you will open the appropriate sound file.

Note that if you are listening on headphones, the selected song part [Tenor/Lead/Baritone or Bass] will be prominent in the left ear, with the remaining parts in the right.

Use the music sheet you have been given to guide you along and.... enjoy!

See you next Thursday!

PS. The 'Download' and 'Play' buttons may reverse their functions depending on which operating system, browser and audio playing software you use. Try both and see which works for you!

The Music

Guidance

Hi,

Welcome to the Clwyd Clippers Music Library.

To use to library is, hopefully, intuitive, but to be sure - just follow these steps:

  • Select a song from the list on the left.
  • Select the part that you wish to hear. If you want to hear all four parts - just click on the song title itself.
  • Once selected, you will see:
    • This  guidance - you can review it again by clicking on the arrows to the top right.
    • Six buttons:
      • Play Audio. If you have Windows Media player installed, this will play the file.

      • Play Slower Audio. If it is available, this will play a teaching track for you to 'get the words' and Musical Notes.

      • Download Music. This will display a copy of the sheet music.
Please note that you will NOT be able to print this out - that's a copyright infringement
        .

      • Download Words. This will display just the words of the song. I've tried in all cases to get them onto a single page.
        This will be printable.

      • Download Audio & Download Slower Audio
These two buttons will download an .MP3 version of the Windows Media File.
    • If they are available, Peter may write some musical directions for the song.
    • Again, if they are available, some introductory or history notes about the song.
    • Video
This section of the page will display streaming video from sites like YouTube.com. If you can identify any useable videos, Send me the link and I'll put it up.
We are also looking at using the chorus video camera to take movies of the chorus and using that [purely internally] to help us with our rehearsals.

NOTES.         In order to view the Sheet music or the words, you need a copy of the Adobe Acrobat Reader. If you haven't got this on your computer, you may download it from www.adobe.com

Similarly, the Play Audio and Slower play Audio  are directed at Windows Media Player. If you don't have this software, you can get it from:http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/player/11/default.aspx

If you have any queries or issues with this - please give a call or seek me out at the next rehearsal

regards,
Duncan.
